Privacy Policy
DeckBooster analyzes pitch decks. That means you trust us with documents that are, by definition, sensitive — your strategy, your numbers, your story. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who it touches, and the controls you have. No dark patterns, no hidden data sales.
1. Who we are
DeckBooster ("DeckBooster", "we", "us") is a pitch-deck analysis service operated by helo.land. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Your deck. The PDF or PowerPoint file you upload, and the text and structure we extract from it for analysis.
- Context you provide. Any sector, stage, raise, or free-text answers you add to sharpen the analysis.
- Account details. Your name and email address if you create an account or claim a report.
- Partner programme applications. Organisation, company, contact, website, investor or programme, and message details you submit through the Startups page.
- Payment information. Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only the outcome (paid / failed), an amount, and a Stripe reference.
- Technical data. A single session cookie to keep you signed in, plus standard server logs (IP, timestamp, request) used for security and debugging.
3. How we use it
- To generate your deck analysis and report, and to email you the report link.
- To take and reconcile payments, and to show you your report and payment history.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
- To review partner and startup applications and, when approved, email the relevant Stripe promotion code.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your deck for advertising.
4. AI processing of your deck
To produce the analysis, the text extracted from your deck is sent to large-language-model providers (we route through OpenRouter, primarily to Anthropic models). Under those providers' API terms, inputs sent through the API are not used to train their models. Your deck is processed to generate your report and is not shared for any other purpose.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run DeckBooster:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- OpenRouter / Anthropic — AI analysis of deck text.
- Email delivery — to send your report link and sign-in links.
- Hosting — the infrastructure that runs the application and stores your data.
Each acts as our processor under contract. We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. Cookies
We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep it
Uploaded decks and generated reports are retained while your account is active so you can revisit your history. For guest (logged-out) analyses, data is retained to deliver and reconcile your purchase. Partner programme applications are kept while we review and operate the programme, then removed manually when no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 9), and we delete it unless we are legally required to keep records (e.g. payment records for tax/accounting).
8. Security
Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is restricted to operating the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by applicable law.
11. Children
DeckBooster is intended for founders and professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
